Although the Apple iPhone was released in June 2007 it is in all likelihood to become just as popular as the Apple iPod. Plus just like the iPod you can expect that there will be companies every where who will be able to produce a number of different Apple iPhone accessories to go with it. In fact a quick search of the internet provides with a whole number of different accessories already available for use with the Apple iPhone.

Below we take a look at some of the ones which are likely to be the most popular. Whilst there are other accessories that are available these are some of the ones that we feel are essential.

1. Cases - Even before the phone had actually come on to the market there were some manufacturers of phone accessories offering cases for it. Although the price of the phone is somewhat expensive between $499 and $599 it is recommended that all iPhone owners should purchase a case for theirs as well. This is probably one of the most important accessories you need to get if you want to protect it.

2. Screen Protector - As this particular kind of phone uses multi touch technology the user will be required to constantly touch the screen in order to navigate around its myriad of features. This will not only result in fingerprints and smudges being left on the face of the screen but could also end up in it being accidentally scratched. But by purchasing a screen protector you will actually prevent such damage occurring to it.

3. Bluetooth Headset - This accessory allows you to receive calls simply through the use of a single button. But not only this it provides you with up to 5 hours of talk time and 72 hours of standby time because of the built in lithium ion battery that is rechargeable.

4. Stereo Headset - This particular accessory has been designed like the Apple iPod headsets have been. So it includes a high performance microphone which comes with an integral windscreen. This particular headset not only allows you to quickly answer and any phone calls you receive but also comes with a basic music play back facility.

5. iPhone Dock - This is a very essential accessory for your iPhone. It provides you with the same facilities that the Apple iPod dock does. In that it sits on your desk and when you need to recharge your iPhone or download some additional music on to it you just connect your iPhone to the dock. As well as the docking station when you buy this accessory you get an AC power adaptor, a USB cable to connect the dock to your PC or laptop and also an audio line. This final piece of equipment then allows you to connect the dock to your stereo and listen to the music on your iPhone this way as well.
